Maximianus, first reign, 286-305. Antoninianus (Bronze, 23 mm, 4.60 g, 7 h), 'C' mint (Camulodunum?), struck under Carausius, 287-293. IMP C MAXIMIANVS AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Maximianus to right. Rev. PAX AVGGG / S - P / C Pax standing front, head to left, holding olive-branch in her right hand and scepter in her left. Cohen -. RIC 44. A boldly struck and unusually attractive example of this interesting issue. Very minor flan faults on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
